Working On A Student Visa
Students holding a student visa can engage in employment for up to 40 hours per week during designated break periods and up to 16 hours per week during academic terms.
Before starting your work you will need:
Australian Bank Account
n order to open an account, you will need to provide your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE), passport, Letter of Offer, and other forms of identification. You have the option to select your bank from a wide range of domestic and international banks.
Australian Tax File Number (TFN)
You can apply for TFN at the Australian Tax office. Visit https://www.ato.gov.au/individuals/tax-file-number/apply-for-a-tfn/
